KPS Global provides manufactured insulated cam-lock panels that mount to your pumphouse or equipment skid allowing the shipment of pre-assembled units.
Outdoor Equipment Enclosure Applications
KPS Global offers an insulated panel system that allows our customers to fully customize an equipment enclosure solution. From design to components, we work with dealers and integrators to provide insulated panels that meet the structural requirements needed for any project.
Fire Protection Pump House
A fire protection water pumphouse main purpose is to protect equipment from fire hazards. These pumphouses are meant to distribute water to sprinklers throughout the building and other water mains. A fire protection water pumphouse allows for a ventilated temperature-controlled environment for the pump system.
The pump system has sensitive electronics that can be damaged due to high temperatures. KPS Global insulated panel enclosures are a perfect solution to keep humidity and warm air out. Our insulated panel frames are HDR or FUSIONFRAME®. KPSG insulated fire protection water pumphouse can resist fire for one to two hours.
Water Supply (Water Booster) Pump House
Water supply pumphouses are used to remotely distribute water to a storage tank or other location. An outdoor equipment enclosure with KPSG’s insulated panel system is a reliable option when choosing an enclosure for your water supply pump house. Factory pre-cut openings and components can be pre-assembled on a skid platform for easy and efficient installation.
Water Disposal & Wastewater
Water disposal and wastewater pumps are very similar enclosures because they don’t need a pump. These outdoor equipment enclosures need temperature-controlled environments to protect the critical components inside the enclosure that could become compromised due to extreme temperatures and humidity.
These enclosures both deal with the purification of wastewater being disposed of and gathering it in a central area. KPS Global uses an insulated panel system to surround the pumphouses and ensure an airtight seal throughout the enclosure. To help with temperature and humidity, ventilation and HVAC are needed to maintain the perfect environment for the enclosure
Electrical Substations
An electrical substation is a system that can transmit electricity at different voltages safely and effectively. KPS Global offers insulated panel systems for outdoor equipment enclosures known as utility enclosures to safely enclose critical electronic components from potential damage. These enclosures can be temperature and humidity controlled to meet the needs of the equipment inside.
Battery Storage
Battery storage enclosures require a temperature and humidity controlled internal environment to prolong the longevity and efficiency of the batteries. KPS Global works with dealers and integrators to provide an industry leading equipment enclosure. Our insulated panel solutions fitted with a HVAC system creates the ideal conditioned environment for battery storage.
Utility Enclosures
KPS Global insulated panel systems are ideal to protect critical equipment from external conditions. Minimizing downtime and equipment maintenance is crucial to performance as well as saving money and time. KPSG manufactures custom utility enclosures to keep utility equipment protected.
Valve Enclosures/Valve Houses
Valve enclosures, also known as Valve Houses, are used in a variety of ways in waterwork systems. KPS Global custom insulated panel systems allow the end user to be able to control the internal temperature of the enclosure for the valve and its components to run efficiently.
Machine Rooms
Machine rooms are used to protect critical equipment and machinery from weather, dust, and other external conditions. Equipment needs to be stored with a strict temperature tolerance to remain operational. The superior polyurethane foam used in KPS Global insulated panel systems allow an HVAC system to ensure equipment is stored at the correct temperature with limited maintenance.
Tank Enclosures
Insulated panels provide a cost effect solution to protect valuable equipment like water tanks. KPS Global can customize equipment enclosures to meet various environmental conditions that the unit will face. Enclosures are vital in protecting tanks from physical damage, leaks, and ability to control the internal environment can prevent potential freezing inside of the enclosure.
Outdoor Equipment Enclosure Panel Construction & Certifications
KPS Global provides custom equipment enclosures that serve multiple applications including electrical substations, pump houses and battery storage units. Our unique modular design assists in protecting the critical equipment inside.
KPS Global manufactures fully customizable panel solutions to maintain a controlled environment. Our insulated panel options include wood-frame, High-Density-Rail (HDR), and the innovative FUSIONFRAME.
All panels are injected with a Class 1 polyurethane insulation and assembled utilizing concentric camlock fasteners ensuring quick and easy installation. Panels can be constructed in 3 ½”, 4”, and 5” thicknesses to meet your project specifications. KPSG insulated panels can be built for fire-resistant construction for 1-hour to 2-hour resistance levels and can meet UL, and ETL certifications.

FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
Skid-mounted equipment enclosures are units that can be pre-assembled on skids.
Equipment enclosures can either be mounted on a concrete slab foundation or the enclosure can be mounted to a portable skid. Most pump houses are skid mounted.
Pump houses that are skid-mounted have the option to be pre-assembled. Pre-assembled equipment enclosures can save time in the field, decreased on-site assembly hours, and increases speed of operation and the completion of final product. Skid-mounted pump houses provide a level of modularity that allows for the unit to be transported in the event that re-location is necessary.
Preassembled enclosures come with challenges for the dealer and the customer. Preassembled enclosures are constructed in a warehouse to ship as a complete enclosure. The enclosure will occupy a large amount of space in the warehouse during the assembly process as it will ship as one completed unit resulting in higher shipping costs.
Standing seam roofs do not require screws or nails to be exposed outside of the roof panel. This is ideal to prevent fasteners from rust which increases the lifespan of the roof. Instead, metal clips are used to connect the panels together, forming a standing seam.
Standing seam roofs are installed on a sloped pitched, to allow precipitation runoff.

Membrane roofing is rolled on top of the equipment enclosure. It is then installed using glue or termination bars. Termination bars are strengthened plastic strips to support the roofing membrane system at the termination point.
Reinforced plastic doors, also know as FRP, is a door option that is typically not used in equipment enclosure applications.
