stacked panels

When you receive KPS Global panels, they will be shrink wrapped. When panels come off the assembly line, they are stacked up and placed on-top of each other with UV protective sheets in-between and then placed through an orbital wrapper. (see before and after process below) The orbital wrapper process shrink wraps the panels, and they are then tarped and ready for transit. Once the panels are delivered, they should be in the same condition as they left the plant. Here are some tips to protect the panels once you have received them.

Orbital Wrapper Process

before orbital wrapping

Panels are stacked into groups and laid on top of each other with plastic sheeting in-between.

Panels Should Be Kept Inside

Panels should not be left outside for longer than 2-3 days. Although our shrink wrap protection does provide UV protection, it cannot protect from the unwanted effects of rain. When it rains, the panels are not directly damaged but the moisture from the rain can cause condensation. As a result, the panels can become damaged. When panels are delivered, they should be taken inside to avoid the risk of condensation and unwanted damage. Our panels are built to last, and we want our customers to get the most out of them.

Do Not Remove Packaging

It might seem simple, but our packaging is meant to protect. We strategically wrap our panels with multiple different protective layers, so they are safe from damage. Removing packaging before installation removes this protection and can increase the risk of unwanted damage. Our installation team experts can remove the packaging when it is time to install the panel system. If you are installing the panels with another contractor, be sure not to open the panels until the time of installation.

Nothing Should Be Placed on Panels

Our panels are flat but are not meant to have large loads put or stacked or placed on top of them. Keep the stacked panels as they come with nothing on top of the stacks. It is also important to not stack too many groups of panels on top of each other as well.

KPSG Panels Are Built to Last

Our products are exceptionally durable, and these recommendations serve as a guide to getting the most out of your KPSG panel system. We want our panel systems to look as good as their performance is important to protect the condition of the panels because these products are often customer facing and should look appealing and presentable to customers.
