Replacing old, damaged walk-ins or investing in new ones is an important investment. Choosing KPS Global for your walk-in coolers needs means working with a trusted company backed by expertise. As you navigate the process of purchasing a walk-in cooler for a grocery store from us, here’s what you can expect with answers to some common questions.
1. I submitted a quote, how long until I get my order?
Once a quote is requested the purchaser can expect a response back from KPS Global within one business day. This begins the process of gathering the details needed to complete the quote in a timely manner.
A dedicated account manager is then assigned to the project to gather project details and specifications needed to create an accurate quote within two to fourteen business days, depending on the complexities and size of the boxes.
From there, account managers coordinate a preferred delivery date based on manufacturing timelines and project specifications and requirements. From the time a quote is submitted to when the project is delivered varies depending on project complexities however with our five manufacturing facilities, we pride ourselves on the industries best lead times of 4-6 weeks*.
* Lead times may vary based on project specifications such as non-standard materials or specialty buyouts.
2. I placed my order, but the layout of the grocery store has changed. What do I do now?
Changes happen, and we understand that. If modifications to the initial order are needed, simply reach out to your designated account manager. While we don’t charge for revisions to design plans, modifications might lead to revised pricing and lead times as each quote is based on your specific project requirements.
3. Will I receive drawings before delivery?
Upon request, we provide our shop/product drawings to ensure accurate panel manufacturing. Submittal drawings are started as soon as the PO is received. Requesting a shop/product drawing is as simple as reaching out to the designated account manager. If discrepancies or changes arise, inform us, and we’ll adjust accordingly.
4. I’m on a tight deadline, can you guarantee my order will be delivered on time?
We work diligently to meet your delivery deadlines, coordinating manufacturing and logistics accordingly. While unforeseen circumstances like severe weather or material shortages might impact timelines, we maintain open communication to minimize delays.
Not only do we work to confirm your delivery 30 days beforehand, but we also schedule our manufacturing time around your delivery dates to make sure we have them fresh and ready to go at the right time.
KPS Global has made significant investments to ensure redundancy in our manufacturing process to proactively manage potential scenarios that could cause delays. With five manufacturing plants across the United States, back up foam supply, and supplier redundancy KPS Global has taken all measures to ensure your project timelines are protected.
5. How is my grocery store cooler shipped?
KPS Global takes several measures to protect panels during the manufacturing and shipping process. Not only are the metal skins wrapped in a protective film, but we also utilize an orbital wrapper to securely package panels to minimize issues during transit. When projects are ready to ship, they are shipped directly to the destination.
6.When will my grocery store cooler ship and deliver?
KPS Global schedules the delivery date based on project requirements, usually scheduling the delivery the same day or day before the installation starts to prevent storing the panels for long periods of time.
With this in mind, we ship your walk-in order from the closest of our five plants to minimize delays and maximize efficiency. While our headquarters location is in Fort Worth, TX, we also have plants in San Dimas, CA, Goodyear, AZ, Piney Flats, TN, and Conyers, GA. This spread of locations allows us to be three days or less away from any location in the continental United States.
7. Where else do you ship grocery store coolers to?
In addition to the continental United States, we regularly ship to Hawaii, Alaska, Canada, and Latin America as well as other locations upon request.
8. My project is delayed, what happens now?
Like everything else, delays can sometimes be unavoidable. In the event your project is delayed it is best to reach out to your designated account manager as soon as possible to discuss updating project timelines. In the event manufacturing is complete the project must ship out as originally scheduled. In these cases, we will provide recommendations for the best storage solutions to keep your panels protected and ready for installation.
9. How should I properly store my order?
KPS Global recommends storing panels inside, out of the elements. To properly store our panels, it is recommended to store them inside, in a warehouse. If you have access to a warehouse storage space, we can coordinate delivery of the panels there for you.
The second method has two options; onsite storage can be done either through a CONEX (ideal for storage of more than one week) or simply covering the panels with a strapped down tarp (perfect for short-term).
10. What additional products and services does KPS Global offer?
KPS Global offers a diverse portfolio of products and buyout options for grocery store coolers including strip curtains, glass doors, alarms, and refrigeration.
