KPS Global (KPSG) is pleased to announce it has been named a 2020 winner for “Cooling Manufacturer of the Year”. Each year, the RAC Cooling Industry Awards shines the spotlight on the refrigeration and air conditioning industry’s most successful innovations and achievements. This marks the second year in a row KPS Global has been recognized for their efforts with a win!
“We are grateful to the RAC Cooling Industry Awards for celebrating innovation that reduces our carbon footprint,” said Mike Eakins, CEO, KPSG. “The HFO system has zero ozone depletion potential and a low global warming potential of less than one. We at KPSG believe this recognition perfectly underscores that we’re not only making a difference in the industry but in our world, as well.”
Cooling Manufacturer of the Year
KPSG strives for good corporate citizenship among its most important missions. To that end, the company recently completed the conversion of all five of its U.S. manufacturing facilities from using hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) blowing agents in its insulated polyurethane panels to hydrofluoroolefin (HFO) blowing agents. This will reduce ozone depletion potential (ODP) and lower global warming potential (GWP) by 1,030 times that of CO2.
KPS Global was also nominated for “Environmental Collaboration of the Year” for their work with Artic Express Pack on a technology that will reduce the time and space needed to produce gel packs.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the awards took place virtually this year on December 9.
