KPS Global Donates Privacy Panels to Cincinnati Homeless Shelter

Press Release Image

KPS Global an industry-leading manufacturer of insulated panel systems, recently donated privacy panels designed to increase protection against the spread of the COVID-19 virus while also improving privacy in the sleeping quarters of seven dormitory rooms at the City Gospel Mission in Cincinnati, OH. In this time that requires strong adherence to COVID-19-mandated social-distancing guidelines, the partitions will give added peace of mind against the spread of the virus to the residents of the City Gospel Mission. The donation is the latest effort by KPS Global to give back to in-need communities in the United States.

“Research has shown that the residents of group homes can be more susceptible to contracting the virus, so we hope that these partitions will limit their exposure to COVID-19,” said Mike Eakins, CEO of KPS Global. “We also hope that the partitions will give the residents some additional personal space and privacy.”

Installation of the partitions at the shelter was performed by KPS Global’s Construction Services team. KPS global also has plans to expand the panel-donation program by offering partitions to other homeless shelters throughout the country.

“KPS Global has enabled City Gospel Mission to increase our homeless shelter capacity back to 70 guests with the overly generous donation of partitions for our dorm rooms. We are amazed and grateful that a company 1,000 miles from Cincinnati heard about our great need for an extra layer of safety and filled it. Your heart to help the homeless is a huge blessing to our organization and our guests.” Roger Howell, President City Gospel Mission continues “Every guest in our homeless shelter who I have talked with appreciates the partitions. As an especially vulnerable population during this pandemic, our homeless guests are often nervous and scared. These partitions help lessen their worries because they know they’re safer because of them. Thank you for helping them during these challenging times when they need all the help they can get.”

City Gospel Mission was founded in 1924 by James N. Gamble of Proctor & Gamble. In the nearly 100 years since, the shelter has built a legacy of dedication to helping the homeless and hurting break the cycle of poverty and despair through a full menu of food/shelter, jobs and recovery programs. Today, City Gospel Mission collaborates with more than 350 local churches and 2,500 volunteers to annually serve the needs of more than 6,800 adults and 3,500 children.
