When KPS Global Inside Sales Rep Rob Hembree was 17, as he puts it, he wouldn’t have imagined in a million years that he would be quoting walk-in coolers for a living, nor that he would find so much fulfillment in that role.
At KPSG, we relish this kind of employee engagement. We want our team members to be challenged by their roles and to find joy every day. Rob is a great example of how that attitude helps KPSG create the best product possible for our customers.
Let’s take a closer look at Rob’s role and how he supports customers.
The Role of Inside Sales
As an inside sales rep, Rob “organizes the chaos from beginning to end” and is a critical piece of our effort to build quality walk-in coolers and exceed customer expectations.
Rob helps put a dollar amount on customer projects, working with multiple departments to provide customers with a quote for products and services.
Overall, Rob said he’s committed to working with each customer throughout the process, undergoing revisions and communicating constantly to ensure they’re satisfied. Once they are, he works alongside design, production and install to make sure we hit our stated goal.
“My job is to update the customer the whole way through and make sure they are convinced KPSG is the only brand they need,” he said.
Where Does Rob Fit in the KPSG Process?
Rob’s role, he said, is simple.
“We are the voice of KPSG,” he said. “From, ‘Hello, KPS Global, this is Rob’ to warranty claims two years later, I am there the whole way – from the easy conversations when everything is going as planned to the tougher conversations, where we must brainstorm with other departments over how to resolve challenges.”
Without inside sales reps like Rob to help run the show and provide a collaborative, forward-facing voice for KPSG, our processes would be nowhere near as successful as they currently are.
For Rob, being the voice of the customer and helping their visions come to fruition is a rewarding duty.
Why Rob Loves Being a Part of the KPSG Family
Though Rob couldn’t originally imagine himself in his current role, he’s certainly taken to it.
“It’s challenging,” he said. “I like that I am surrounded by good people and management that cares. Coordination, organization, mathematics, customer service, sales, communication – this job literally has it all. I love working with all departments here … and when Monday rolls around, I’m not dreading work.”
